Networking at a business events is very important, but often the icebreakers done at conferences are presented in a way that turn off the audience. Facilitators often jump the gun and force people into silly games that they are not what they want to do while at the meeting. Waiting until the group is comfortable with the speaker, the venue and the community is better if you want to have real impact.
