It has been 4 years now since I created my very own Facebook account. Through that time I have watched it evolve in format, role, and popularity. What was once an occasional medium for communication and news updates, has become the central focus of many people's day to day lives. If it stopped there it wouldn't be so bad, but standing hand in hand with social networking is a little coalition of electronic devices that have begun to take over our lives. The question that I am examining today is simply, how much technological progress can our society survive?
