Alternative to Permanent Unemployment
An alternative to permanent unemployment appears to be elusive as unemployment is starting to become a normal part of society. Many forecasters are saying that permanent unemployment could affect more than 20% of (just) America's workforce (excluding underemployment). A recent article in the New York Times, titled "For Jobless, Little Hope of Restoring Better Days," made it abundantly clear that jobs are simply not coming back any time soon.
